We're thrilled to extend our heartfelt congratulations to GJ Gardner Homes - Wollongong for being honoured with the REA Excellence Award for Contribution to the Community. This well-deserved recognition acknowledges their pivotal role in the initiative, "The House that Convoy Built."

This collaborative effort, organised by GJ Gardner Homes Australia, i98FM Illawarra Convoy, and the Illawarra Community Foundation, aimed to construct and sell a house with all proceeds dedicated to the local community. GJ Gardner Homes - Wollongong, alongside numerous local trades people, suppliers, and businesses, generously donated their time, products, and skills to make this project a reality.

In 2021, the House that Convoy Built was sold for an incredible $1,315,000, a testament to the community's support and the dedication of everyone involved.

Sheargold proudly contributed to this initiative by donating the land on which the house was built, emphasising the collective commitment to community well-being.

Adding to the joy, the REA Excellence Award for Contribution to the Community comes with a special reward - REA will donate an additional $10,000 to the Illawarra Community Foundation. This bonus contribution further amplifies the positive impact of the House that Convoy Built, showcasing the profound ripple effect of community-driven endeavours.
