B Corp Certification is a recognition awarded to companies that meet high social and environmental standards, demonstrating their commitment to balancing financial profit with a positive impact on society and the planet.

To gain certification, businesses must undergo a rigorous assessment of their practices, governance, employee treatment, environmental performance, community engagement and more. B Corps must make ongoing efforts to maintain and improve their performance.

Giving back is

what we do.

Pledge 1% is a global movement that encourages companies of all sizes to donate 1% of product, profit, time and/or equity to charities of their choosing.

We fulfil this pledge in two ways, a minimum of 1% of our profits each year go to the Sheargold Foundation to support its philanthropic efforts.

In addition, we also commit 1% of our team's time each year for volunteering and pro bono work with charities and nonprofit organisations.

All of our major projects, both current and those commenced within the last 10 years, have been awarded full EnviroDevelopment certification demonstrating our commitment to strict environmental standards. EnviroDevelopment is a scientifically-based assessment system that independently reviews development projects and awards certification to those that achieve outstanding performance across four or more of the provided elements – Ecosystems, Waste, Energy, Materials, Water, and Community.

EnviroDevelopment serves to make it easier for purchasers to recognise and, thereby, select more environmentally sustainable developments and lifestyles. Certified developments have been carefully designed to protect the environment and use resources responsibly, whilst offering a range of benefits to homeowners, industry, and government.

Roy Sheargold Scholarship.

Awarding exceptional achievement.

Our founder Roy Sheargold believed that being a great developer meant continually updating your knowledge and travelling the world to learn from other developers. The UDIA NSW Roy Sheargold Scholarship was established in partnership with UDIA in 2017 and is awarded biannually to an individual who demonstrates exceptional professional and/or academic achievement.

This award is about helping individuals get to the next level. The ideal applicant will use the scholarship to conduct research, further their education or extend their professional networks.
